SWAT team called to NW Miami-Dade home
Miami-Dade police officers and a SWAT team were called to a northwest Miami-Dade County home Tuesday on reports of a man barricaded inside.
The incident took place at 9404 NW Fourth Ave.
Detective Roy Rutland said Miami-Dade police received a call reporting that a man inside the house had threatened to family members that he was going to harm himself.
Officers who arrived at the home said they heard at least one shot coming from inside. Miami-Dade police said they do not believe any bullets came out of the house.
Officers moved toward the home with their weapons drawn. From Sky 10 overhead, no suspect was visible.
Rutland said police believe the man was inside the house alone.
The streets were closed in the area.
